Confiabilidad de proveedores es un objetivo constante que toda industria busca. Contar con proveedores, que son especialistas en su rubro, permite desarrollar una industria más sana y fuerte.
El reto está en cómo lograr este efecto.
Es un hecho que la gran empresa suele ser más confiable que la pequeña empresa. Este hecho se genera, entre varios aspectos, porque la gran industria puede aplicar buenas prácticas e irlas mejorando, esta forma de trabajo es el resumen de contar con un “sistema de gestión“, que les permite generar este impacto positivo. Incluso, muchos de los sistemas de gestión pueden “certificarse”, proceso que muchas empresas grandes siguen y gracias a estas certificaciones acceden a nuevos clientes y mercados.
Algunos ejemplos de sistemas de gestión certificables son:
a) ISO 9001 le dice al mundo que tu empresa tiene un sistema de gestión que se preocupa por la satisfacción de su cliente, así como por entregar productos y servicios que cumplen con las especificaciones del cliente. Suele ser el primer sistema de gestión a implementar, pues además de ayudar a tu operación corriente, sirve de base para la implementación de otros sistemas de gestión;
b) Una certificación WRAP o SA 8000 le dice al mundo que tu empresa cuenta con un sistema de gestión socialmente responsable, requisito mínimo para ser proveedor de muchas empresas globales. El listado de sistemas de gestión certificables es amplio.
Este hecho nos lleva a concluir que, si todos nuestros proveedores
(empresas más pequeñas, MYPEs) implementan sistemas de gestión y logran certificarlos, estos serían más confiables, y tendríamos una cadena de abastecimiento más confiable.
Por otro lado, la pequeña empresa usualmente no ha prestado
atención a los sistemas de gestión (a menos que sea una exigencia de algún cliente), ya sea porque no los conoce o cree que implementarlos es demasiado caro para su estructura de costos.
Existe la oportunidad para financiar los proyectos de certificación en un sistema de gestión. Esta es la oportunidad para la gran empresa de contar con una red de proveedores más confiables sin costo. La oportunidad para la pequeña empresa (MYPE) a tener acceso a estas certificaciones a un costo sumamente bajo, con la oportunidad de acceder a nuevos clientes y mercados.
